Join Southern Appalachian Repertory Theatre for their upcoming Winter Gala on December 4, 2022 at 4pm!

Southern Appalachian Repertory Theatre will be partnering with Mars Landing Galleries for an elegant evening of live entertainment, a live auction, and dinner catered by local eateries where they’ll be raising funds for their 49th season!

Southern Appalachian Repertory Theatre’s 49th season will include:

The Azure Sky in Oz: The true stories of two women whose lives are forever changed by the neurodiverse. Starring MHU Theatre Arts Graduate and long-time SART company member, Amanda Ladd and showing in rep May 18-28, 2023.

Say Goodnight Gracie: The life, laughter, and love of George Burns and Gracie Allen. Featuring WNC favorite Pasquale LaCorte and showing in rep May 18-28, 2023.

My Way: A musical tribute to Frank Sinatra. Showing June 8-18, 2023.

Church Basement Ladies: A celebration of the church basement kitchen and the women who work there. Featuring the return of their 2020 cast. Showing June 29-July 9, 2023.

Golden Boy of the Blue Ridge: A bluegrass musical coming-of-age story about a slapdash murder, a whirlwind romance, and a most unlikely hero. July 20-30, 2023.

The Winter Gala takes place at Mars Landing Galleries at 37 Library St, Mars Hill, NC 28754. Mars Landing Galleries is a standout gallery for the works of artists and makers nestled in and around the Blue Ridge Mountains and beyond. Each exhibit space is curated to provide viewers ample space for contemplation, connection, and ultimate appreciation of exquisite works not readily displayed locally. It is a must-show location for working artists and makers looking for optimal exposure. And a must-see destination for both curious art lovers and those actively seeking serious pieces to expand their own collections.

Southern Appalachian Repertory Theatre is a professional theatre company in residence at the historic Owen Theatre on the campus of Mars Hill University. Since its founding in 1975 by visionary director and theatre educator Jim Thomas, SART has produced scores of plays, musicals, and original works, many portraying the rich culture and heritage of Southern Appalachia.
