Our Madison County Public Libraries are offering two free programs, twice a month.

Grab your lunch and join Kim online for technology classes for small businesses. If we have learned nothing else over the past year, it is the importance of providing accurate online information about your business. Lunch & Learn for Small Businesses will be offered twice a month on Wednesdays at 12 noon.

Building an Online Business

Thinking about starting an online business? It is an online world we are living in right now. Let the Library help through our Applied Digital Skills content. Our first course is Build Your Online Business. It is open now and cam be completed at your own pace in your own time frame.

After completion of this course, students will be able to:

  • Outline their skills, interests, resources, and validate a business idea
  • Conduct market research and organize their findings in a slideshow presentation
  • Determine the best online marketplace to sell their product/service
  • Design a flyer to promote the business product/service
  • Use a spreadsheet to track inventory, spending, and profits
  • Create a customer feedback survey
