A Zipline Guide Training course will be held at the A-B Tech Madison campus, and on-site at the French Broad Rafting and Zipline facility, beginning April 6, 2015.

Zipline tours have become one of the most popular tourist attractions in Western North Carolina. Within a two-hour drive of Asheville, there are 15 zipline canopy tour operations, each employing between 15 to 60 guides. Depending on the size and popularity of the zipline facility, guides are paid $10- to $14-per-hour.

This course prepares the student to sit for the Level 1 practitioner certification based on the Association for Challenge Course Technology (ACCT) standards. This certification is needed in order to become a zipline tour guide.

You must register in person and be at least 18 years of age to complete the training.
